Linsey and Lisa are very excited to introduce Lady Bay Amateur Arts, a group that will meet every month to learn a number of artistic skills.
Linsey has a Bachelor Arts degree in Fine Art Sculpture and has 12 years experience of teaching art at secondary school level. It will be ideal for those Lady Bayers who are interested in picking up some new artistic skills.
The intention is to run a taster session of observational drawing on Tuesday April 4th at 7.30pm - 9.30pm at a cost of £10 per person. Linsey will show you the basics of portraiture during the first session, for which you will simply need a sketch pad and a set of drawing pencils, as well as a mirror/photograph of someone you'd like to draw. There will be a break for refreshments at 8.30pm.
If this taster session gets you hooked we would like people to sign up for a further 5 classes, and pay for these in advance. These 5 sessions will take place on the first Tuesday of every month at 7.30-9.30pm and cost £50. You will experience using different media; ink, charcoal, collage, wire and explore 2D and 3D work building on your skills and knowledge. Each month tasks will be set to complete independently to develop and reinforce the techniques you have learnt.
