| Our lovely Rebecca is going to be taking part in some charity work with the Christian organisation Youth With A Mission. In January she will be leaving us to go to America to receive vital training to then go on to help communities that are in desperate need of our support. |  |
 | In order to do this we need to raise some money to ensure she can get the training she will need. |
It consists of two parts: lecture phase and outreach phase. In the lecture phase, Rebecca will learn more about God and His word. She’ll learn not only from lectures but also from community living and practical training. The outreach phase focuses on applying what she learned in the classroom through an intense, cross-cultural experience.
| Although not Christians ourselves, we believe that Rebecca's kindness and charity stems from her beliefs and we want to make sure she can achieve her goals of helping others as part of her faith. We think that the community of Lady Bay is the perfect place to start! |  |
On Saturday August 10th we will be holding a family fun day at Bread and Butterflies to help Rebecca take her first steps to making her dream come true. There will be lots to do and delicious sandwiches, cakes and coffee to enjoy. Rebecca has simply been offered the space and has organised all of the activities herself. There will be music to enjoy, a White Elephant Raffle to win some excellent prizes, and activities for the children. All money raised from the activities will go towards her charity work, so dig deep. Bread and Butterflies will also be making donations to the cause with prizes and a percentage of the profits going in the pot.
Throughout the month of July we will be accepting donations to the White Elephant Raffle, so please give what you can: bottles of wine, cans of beans, toys, smellies...We're hoping it will be a huge success and thank you all in advance for your support!
